Back the Blue Week in Support of Officer Eric Ney

We are raising money to support Officer Eric Ney and his family. As you know Officer Ney was injured on Tuesday, July 12. Officer Ney has been a friend of HVO for years and would visit us often. We consider him part of our HVO family and we want to do our best to support him and his family during this trying time on the road to recovery. We have created several different areas of fundraising as outlined below:

Officer Ney Fundraiser Auction:

Here is how the auction works

Bids will be accepted starting Weds July 20. These bids will essentially be proxy bids. The auction will conclude on Sunday July 24 the with a live auction. During the live auction, if any of the written bids are higher than the live auction. The item will be awarded to the written bid. Likewise, if the live auction outbids the written bid, the item will be awarded to the live bidder.

*** All these items were donated by many of friends and partners of HVO. If you would like to donate something to put in the auction, please let us know and we will add it.**

The HVO team would like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to our amazing customers and business partners who have donated/plan to donate in support of Officer Ney. We could not do this without all of you. 

Back the Blue Specialty Items:

Each area of our business will be producing a back the blue specialty item to run for this week, 100% of the profit from these speciatly items will be added directly to the Ney Family Fund. We are expecting a black and blue sundae in The COOP, a frozen blue alcohol drink in the Crate Room or possibly a blue beer option, a flatbread featuring blue cheese, and a blue bakery item! When you purchase these specialty items we will not keep any of the profit, sales of these specific items profit will go directly to Officer Ney.

Round Up Contribution:

For this weekend we added the "round up" capability on all of our point of sale systems, 100% of round up donations will be given directly to the Ney family. Here is what this will look like:

When checking out on property you will be given the option to "round up" your sales total. Which means, if your original total was $3.50 after choosing to round up your new total would now be $4.00, and 50 cents would be added directly to the Ney Family Fund. 

Lastly, THANK YOU. Thank you to the community for all of your support in helping us create this event for Officer Ney's Family, thank you to everyone who plans to join us; but most importantly thank you Officer Ney. Thank you Eric for years of protection for our community and support for our small business, we can not begin to repay you for your sacrifices but we hope this is a start.
